Jen has been a registered dietitian since 2013. Very soon after becoming a dietitian, she was given an opportunity to work at a dialysis clinic to help people with end stage kidney failure. It was after working several years in dialysis, seeing people come into the clinic in shock and disbelief that their kidneys failed so soon, that Jen decided to help more people from coming to dialysis. In 2018, Jen opened her virtual private practice and began helping people with chronic kidney disease make nutrition and lifestyle changes to prevent kidney failure and dialysis. This was the creation of Plant-Powered Kidneys. Jen has hosted the Plant-Powered Kidneys course for hundreds of people with early-stage CKD and want to be sure they are doing whatever they can to prevent kidney failure and dialysis. With so many students raving about their own kidney success from learning more about kidney nutrition, she hopes to help many more to come!
